A chore chart that survives real kids.
Rotations, parent review, late penalties, "up for grabs" pool chores, and a points economy that actually pays out. Built because the magnet board kept losing magnets.
- 3Rotation modes — fixed, round-robin, and pool (any eligible kid claims)
- ∞Custom templates per household, including grace periods
- 1-tapParent approve / reject — no app-switching, no PIN drama
A timeline that knows what time of day it is.
Morning, afternoon, evening — buckets, not a flat list. Past-due chores rise. Approved chores fade. Kids see only what's theirs unless they ask.
- Hearth Almanac timeline view on mobile
- Member filter chips on web
- Auto-collapses approved rows
- Bulk Skip / Reschedule for parents

Points are points. No fake currency.
Every chore earns points. Points buy rewards from the family-defined catalog. Weekly challenges add bonuses. Late chores zero out — or pay reduced at a parent-set percentage.
- Per-household reward catalog
- Weekly challenge with bonus payout
- Per-template late-completion handling (zero / partial / full credit)
- Confetti on redemption — we're not above it

Approve or send back — in two taps.
Pending chores stack into a review queue. Approve posts the snapshot; reject writes a parent note the kid sees on retry. No notifications you have to triage.
- Mobile review queue modal
- Per-instance reject reason
- Reward override before claim
- Late-completion override for partial credit
Pool chores — first kid to do it wins.
Toggle a chore to pool mode and any eligible kid can grab it. The first completion locks the reward to that kid. Stops the "but it's not my turn" arms race.
- Min 2 eligible members
- Race-safe (idempotent server)
- Reward routes to completer
- Per-day or per-week scope
It works alone — but it's better with the rest.
Common questions.
Does it work for one kid?
Yes. Rotation and pool modes are off, the daily duty board still runs, and the points economy works fine with one earner.
Can I run it without rewards?
Yes. Disable the economy module in settings and chores stay — just no points or payouts.
How does late completion work?
Each template's late-completion behavior is parent-configurable — zero credit, partial credit, or full credit, set per template. The Chore Board knows the household timezone and applies the configured behavior.
Can kids submit photos as proof?
Optional per chore. Some families use it for "room is clean," most skip it. Either way the parent reviews.
